Dolby-Anol

Dolby-Anol are the nuclear-powered partnership from Glasgow, Scotland whose electro-fied rave sounds have been causing sonic mayhem all over Europe in the last year. The dynamic duo have already shared the stage with the likes of Erol Alkan, Mstrkrft, Simian Mobile Disco and Phones as well as rocking festivals from Glastonbury to DotToDot, and are now set to unlease their latest sonic assault on underground label Back Yard Recordings.
The new release ‘Puppies’ is high-octane dose of electro-synth energy. A mix ‘n mash of 80’s new wave, throbbing bass and filter madness with a melody that grabs you, slaps you about a bit and then takes you onto the dancefloor until your feet hurt. It’s a party-rocking stomper that pushes the boundaries of acid house, techno and electro and introduces Dolby-Anol as creative pioneers in the somewhat over-saturated world of dance music. In other words these guys rock hard!
Remixes come from young Swedish producer Blende whose electro house workout adds some peaktime kick for maximum destruction, and mysterious New York hipster Kap10kurt. A programmer, musician and vintage synthesizer collector Kap10Kurt has worked with the likes of Moby and Dave Gahan and his gameboy glitch mix puts in some vocals and a pogo bass that take it straight to the block party.
Dolby-Anol have so far also given their unique remix treatment to the likes of the Gossip, Teenagers, and Chromeo and after releasing their excellent ‘Dolby & Gabbana’ E.P late last year on underground label TIGERBASS (home to US producers Drop The Lime & Kid 606), they are now shaping up to be one of the hottest new dance duo’s this year.
